Ryker's Baby Blessing

This past Sunday, we were able to have our son given 'A Name and a Blessing.'
I am so very grateful to have a husband who is worthy of blessing our children into our church.
As my eyes filled with tears during the prayer, I was overcome with the spirit;
knowing that we are sealed to Ryker forever.
Austin and I are so blessed to have such loving family who came and supported us this day.
There is nothing better.

Doesn't Ryker look like he is glowing in every single picture? Perfection.

Afterwards, we celebrated with a lunch - buffet style!

We love our family!

No Longer a Newborn!

We have the most wonderful baby in the entire world.

[The above statement represents no biased opinions whatsoever...]

We are more than blessed to have Ryker in our home.
He has such a pure spirit that radiates to everyone around him.

He is one month old today and is progressing more than ever.

<> He is the cutest when he eats. You can always find him wide-eyed and squealing like a little animal!
<> He has recently discovered his tongue. There is nothing like having your little boy stick out his tongue at you. :]
<> He is fascinated by the light. We know we have said this before, but looking out the window can keep him occupied for hours.
<> He continues to poop every time we change his diaper. We have learned to be prepared.
<> He also continues to pee during every diaper change and after each bath. Again, we have learned to just expect it.
<> Speaking of baths, he LOVES the bath. No fussing goes on there!
<> He is so good at lifting up his head during tummy time. Tummy time is one of his favorite things to do.
<> He intentionally grabs hair; or at least this is what we believe...
<> He grabs a tight hold on your finger during feedings. It is adorable.
<> He enjoys standing up. We only need to hold him with one hand when he does this. He supports himself so well!
<> He attended his first day of church on December 5, 2010. He was such a reverent little boy.

[Our little family right before leaving to church.]

This last month has been a dream come true for us.
We could not have asked for a better Christmas gift than our little Ryker.

We have never felt a love like this before.

Conference Weekend

We absolutely love Conference Weekend!
It is always wonderful hearing from the Prophet and Leaders of our Church.
Also, it is such a blessing to be able to spend it with family.

In between sessions on Saturday, the girls in my family made quiche!
It was delicious.
I say 'was' because the two I made are already gone!

Then, during the Priesthood Session, the girls went out and had some fun!
We went to Ladies' Night at Deseret Book.

The first 100 customers were each given a free plaque.
Of course we got there early so we could have a chance of getting one!
And it was a good thing we did...
There were so many ladies there, but we were fortunate enough to receive the cute gift!

Afterwards, we went to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant!
This place is always a favorite!

Overall, it was an amazing weekend!
I loved cuddling up to my hubby and listening to the wonderful talks given by the General Authorities.
It could not have been any better.

And a big thank you goes out to my mom and dad for making the weekend so fun and enjoyable!!!

UTAH

Austin and I were fortunate enough to take a weekend off [sort of] and drive to UTAH
It was so much fun driving with my Sweetheart!
We talked, laughed, sang to our favorite songs, talked some more, stopped at the Grand Canyon, and even worked on some homework.
Life with Austin is always so exciting!
He is constantly making me laugh with his jokes! I love being with him!

We arrived early Friday morning… 3:00 am to be exact, and stayed at my Grandparent’s home in Bountiful! Later that morning we headed down to Provo to visit my old stompin’ grounds at BYU!! I showed Austin all around campus and we met up with some of my friends and old roommates. It was great to be back there again for a visit!

That night was Austin’s mission reunion at the beautiful Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City. Austin served in the Singapore Mission and loved every second of it. There he learned Malai; and also picked up on bits of Chinese, Mandarin, Iban, Tagalog! That night was so fun and I was excited to meet his mission president and all of his old companions. They all had such wonderful and interesting stories to tell!

The rest of the weekend was so amazing and uplifting. It was General Conference and we were fortunate enough to watch the sessions with part of my dad’s family, my parents, and my sister and her husband! General Conference is always so inspiring and Austin and I really enjoyed watching it together for the first time!

My LOVE!
[Please ignore my tired look... but do look at how HANDSOME Austin is!]
