Happy Halloween!

Austin and I had a wonderful Halloween Weekend!

First off, carving pumpkins is always a favorite...

...Especially when there is a Suns Game on!

And who can forget about our ward Trunk-or-Treat?!
It was a blast!

[Gotta love the escaped convicts!]

...
On our weekend to-do list:
Carve pumpkins [X],
Go out to eat at some of our favorite restaurants [   ],
Take long walks [X],
Hand out candy at our ward's Trunk-or-Treat [X],
Get all dressed-up in our Halloween costumes for our ward's Trunk-or-Treat [X],
Watch movies [X],
Cuddle [X],
Do some homework [X],
Take a bike ride [   ],
And just relax [X].

Luckily, we were able to do most of what we had planned [and more].
We sure loved every minute of it!

Weekly Baby Update

I had my weekly doctor's appointment this morning.
We are so blessed that our baby is perfectly healthy and weighs almost a whopping 7 pounds now!

Unfortunately, nothing to do with my body has changed since last week's appointment...
Yes, this is very sad since I am due in two and a half weeks!
There should be changes happening.

Any-who, little Ryker will come when he is ready!
But just in case... our bags are packed, his clothes are clean, his bed is made, his diapers are bought, his blankets are washed, and his mommy and daddy could not be more excited!

In the meantime, Austin and I are planning a fun-filled weekend.
Who knows, this may be our last weekend alone together, just as a couple!

On our weekend to-do list:
Carve pumpkins,
Go out to eat at some of our favorite restaurants,
Take long walks,
Hand out candy at our ward's Trunk-or-Treat,
Get all dressed-up in our Halloween costumes for our ward's Trunk-or-Treat,
Watch movies,
Cuddle,
Do some homework [of course],
Take a bike ride,
And just relax!

It sure will be a wonderful weekend!

Losing It

Pregnancy mind has really affected me.
For example...

1. I always forget what day of the week it is. Of course this happens to everyone, but after thinking about it for a few seconds, most people can usually remember what day it is. I can't.

2. I lost my husband's keys. Yesterday, I drove Austin's car home from his parent's house and placed his keys somewhere. After all night of searching, we still could not find them. Lucky me, I finally found them today. By accident.

3. I tried to return Target items at Wal-Mart. I even looked at the receipt right before, to make sure I had the correct one. Obviously, I thought the big target symbol at the top meant Wal-Mart... The lady at costumer service must have felt bad for me because she sweetly made me aware of my mistake.

4. Once leaving Wal-Mart, I could not find where I parked my car for a whole five minutes. This may not seem like a long time, but when you are roaming aimlessly around the parking lot, it becomes a long time. I even found myself looking for my husband's car at moments.

5. I went to the wrong bank to deposit money. Note to self: Wells Fargo is not my bank. I have not gone there in over a year; since before I was married. I go to CHASE now...

6. I went to Target with one intention: to return some items... and I left the items in the car. The time when I actually get the store right, I forget my sole purpose of going there in the first place. Beautiful. Now I have to make my poor, swollen feet do more work.

7. I know there are plenty more instances just as bad or worse than the ones above. But silly me, I just cannot remember them. I am losing it.

...

However, I have not forgotten that 21 years ago today, I was introduced into this beautiful world.

Happy Birthday to me!♥

Ryker Okuda

...is head down and ready to come into this world!

When the doctor checked my dilation at my OB appointment this week,
he said he felt our baby's head!
I could not believe it!

Our little man is completely set in position and ready for his big day!
We are all on his time now.

Also, since these last few weeks have been taking a toll on my back,
my amazing husband gifted me with an hour of pure delightfulness today at the beloved...

I sure do have the best husband ever!

Busy Times

Dinner Date!
We had the pleasure of going to Asian Cafe Express with Austin's sister, Natalee, and her husband, Greg!

Shopping
I absolutely love Target.
I have been missing Austin at nights because he is crazy busy coaching volleyball, going to Mutual as a leader, and going to school.
So, I have been spending my time shopping for baby things with my family!
So fun!

Amazing Jakes
I was fortunate enough to go to Amazing Jakes with my mom, two brothers, and the girls I nanny!
We had a lot of fun playing around for 5.5 hours.

Sad News
This week was my last week nannying these girls. =(
I am going to be spending the next few weeks preparing for the arrival of our sweet boy.
With that said, does anyone know of someone looking for a stay-at-home worker?
Like possibly an online job of some sort??

That would be great! Thank you.

Last Night...

For the past two days, Austin has been having major shooting pain in his right knee.
This is new and different pain than before.
So we decided it would be best to go to an urgent care so he could get in to see a doctor
as soon as possible.
To make a long story short, the doctor sent my poor husband here right away for a blood clot:

After many, many hours in the ER, the results finally came in.
He had no blood clot.
His pain, swelling, bruising, and scarring were all results of a bad vein surgeon the week before.
We could have told them that!

All we can say is thank goodness that it wasn't a blood clot!
We are so grateful that everything is OK, and hope that his leg gets better soon.

Post Surgery

I don't even know where to begin.

There were some major difficulties immediately following the two procedures.
AND the night after the procedures...
WHICH left Austin in some major pain...
[I will spare you the gory details.]

BUT today he is finally starting to feel better!

Round two with the left leg will definitely be done by a different doctor.

Baby Shower!

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mom and sister who put on the most amazing baby shower for me!
Anyone who came could attest to how much work was put into this special day!
There was plenty of food, games, friends, and fun!

The day was fantastic!
As you can see from the pictures, every detail was perfectly thought-out and planned to-the-t!

Also, I am so grateful to have such wonderful friends who came and supported me!

My family is always there for me!
I am so lucky to have them.

[My Mom, Kristell, Me, Kristel, and Kelly]

[My Sister-in-laws: Audrie, Kellie, Jessie, Natalee, and Kristie]

 [My Mother-in-law!]

[The cute girlies in my family!]

And last, but not least...
The two women who put this whole thing together and who I am so grateful for...

 [My most amazing mom!]

[My beautiful sister, Kristel!]

Thank You!

And thank you to everyone who came to spend the day celebrating our cute baby-to-be!

Our Day Today

As some of you may know, I am currently taking an online class to finish my last prerequisite for
Dental Hygiene.

So, this is the fun that I get to experience at home each week.

Oh yes, it can get messy at times...
And I might break a test tube or two...
But it is always worth it in the end when I get to play with these pretty colors.

In other news...
My husband is having surgery today at 1:30 pm.
It is an Endovenous Laser Ablation and Ambulatory Stab Phlebectomy to be exact.
[Try to figure that one out :)]

Please wish him luck!

Going on 35...

...and ready to POP.

I may not look like I am about to pop, but I sure do feel like I am going to!
I believe that my tummy is stretched to its max.

Oh it is wonderful!

Our little Ryker is doing so well.
He continues to keep me up all night long with his strong gymnastic skills!
He gets the hiccups every night right before I go to bed.
He absolutely loves to constantly push against a nerve on the right side of my stomach!
He loves when I eat sweets... :]
He enjoys pushing down hard on my bladder; sending me shooting messages that I need to empty it.
He gets so excited when his daddy talks to him and gives him kisses!
He loves when mommy sings to him.
And he may come sooner than expected.

I would not trade any of these sweet experiences for anything.
Every little thing that our boy does makes me so so so happy because I know that he is just getting himself ready to come into this beautiful world!

How do You Spend a Rainy Day?

Dancing and playing in it of course!

I wish every day could be like today!
The girls and I had a blast.
